To Receive Your Certified Copy of the Marriage License
After the ceremony and the completion of the signing of your wedding license, I will send the license into the County Auditor in which the license was given. After ten days you may request a certified copy of the Marriage Certificate by calling the Marriage License Office of the county where the license was obtained, phone numbers are below. Or you can order them online, directly from the state:

Changing Your Name
Don’t take a day off from work to go to the Motor Vehicle Bureau and any of the other places, until you have an original marriage certificate in your hands.
Most people will change their name on their Driver's License first. The fee to change your name on this license is $10.00. Note: The fee can change.
As proof of identification, you will be required to present a primary document with your new name on it, or one of the following: *Marriage certificate of license *Court Order *Divorce Decree *Original Birth Certificate *Other Court or Legal Actions filed and/or registered with the responsible governmental agency of the recording country, province, state,county or city
Call the Social Security office before you go there. Ask if you can walk in or make an appointment. Ask them what documentation they need.
